As above,

I do 30-40k per year and doing this on v-power alone is proving rather expensive.

Can anyone recommend me a derv for 6-8k which still has a bit of poke whilst maintaining decent mpg?

Still torn between that and saying fcuk it, full exhaust, stage two map and a few other bits, but that will obviously rape the fuel bill, you only live once and whilst I can, why not!   :grin:

What about a cheaper Mk4 derv for munching miles and use the left over money/savings for Stage 2  :wink:

the seats are pretty good cars in the derv my mates got the ibiza sport 130 and its bloody quick the fr versions are quite nice to with a bit more power i think  :smiley: also the leon fr are tuneable upto 200 ish and fuel economy win win  :smiley:

Hmmmmm, depends on mileage and condition really, think I may struggle to find one with low mileage. wil have a look

MK4's are only good if they have been looked after & as you said be lucky to get one with low mileage, saying that mine has done over 135k now but the mrs is still using daily to do a lot of miles & never had any issues.

Im sure you could pick up a lot better than a Mk4 for the money you want to spend.  :cool:
