car just looks far sharper with it done, in real it it needs a zorst with slashed tips to fully carry it off but for me is OEM, in reality had same issues with rocco when you have to shell out to get rid of the comedy ride height (which i am sure is due to pedestrian safety legislation)

work so far got the approval from one of my neighbours who for the mk2 fans is Danny Smith from the original Oxford Edition, bit ironic that back in the 90s i loved their stuff and 20 years later you end up living practically next door to each other

went to collect some packages today :)

Some TBE goodness and loving the 35 on the tips (even if its a pinta to photo) and pleased to see the two iddy silencers in the rear

some decent suspension from bilstein and some arbs from eibach

and some engine mounts from Revo which will be interesting to compare to the VWR/vibratechnics i ran on the rocco

car was dyno'd today with file i had run and a revision to that file which makes better use of what VW blessed the later K04 cars with and how you achieve somewhere between the two

stage 2 on wednesday

well bit of a hectic day today for Ed and the crew at APS in giving the Ed35 a makeover before it goes stage 2 tomorrow

so initial feedback is as follows:

Bilstein B16s and Eibach ARBs

Never heard a bad thing about the B16s and in reality love the damping adjustment as its so easy to do, currently on a conservative set up but going to pick the brains on Bistein on what they recommend, car is settling at moment but may need a tweak to lower the front a tad and raise the rear. In reality the VWR Arbs I had before were Eibach with rather expensive blue paint so i knew what to suspect.

Ride is firmer but damping is in a different league to stock set up so gone is that jiggy jiggy feeling you get with the stock suspension, steering feedback has improved as had turn in

No picks till ride height is fettled

Revo Engine Mounts

Engine mounts are a love em or hate in terms of the vibration but the rocco really benefitted from the full vibratechnics ones, all be it were a but intrusive, but the always preferred the payback in terms of putting the power down and cripser gear change, so all three are on and have to be said not as intrusive as i thought at tick over or at bite point as i think the dog bone one is probably i little more forgiving (i'm not feeling the need to put my spare subframe on with the VWR lower), Revo have had the damping on these looked at from the old BSH days. Only slight vibration was due to sunglasses, car feels more engaging

Miiltek Race TBE

Always loved this system on StevePs mk6 and like the support so for me this was always my first choice, was a bit concerned on the noise front but no worries has a nice grown up feel and looks a quality product, car is sporting the 35 tips as they have no gloss black in stock so may get swapped out (i like how you can adjust them), its no shrinking violet and not everyone wants a TBE but i've never seen the point of going just catback, so looking forward to getting the Stage 2 map on to exploit this, pleased with the choice given BCS had approached after i had ordered the Milli (they do some good stuff just Milltek have a large dealer network)

Depends on which file you have

No sprints this year I'll leave it to the dsg heros
