well its time to get the Ed35 ready for inters, a tall order but we'll see how we get on

first up spare rear bumper lower section now with body shop to be finished gloss black

new aero aid acquired on way to pistonheads sunday carefully removed with no damage to car

not going to give anything away on the components at this stage as may go a different route in certain areas to what i did on the rocco and we'll see how i get on in the time period  :lipsrsealed:

S3 shifter
TBE
Intake
Revo Stage 2
Coilovers (2 way adjustable)
ARBs
Replacement engine mounts
Brakes (but not going to rush these)

Is that bumper section already primed/smoothed ready for paint? And is it a vw part or aftermarket section?

It's the normal VW one so not smoothed or primed, in reality, my local VW bodyshop wouldnt  touch it, fortunately there is a bodyshop next to Revo who did this on their mk6

Feedback from another local bodyshop whose work I rate is they prefer to have it unsmoothed as sanding can cause scaring and they just build up the layers

I'll probably get a clear film applied over it for protection

I think the diffuser is around the £65-70 mark from VW (can't remember exact price) painting wise £150+ depending on where you go (in reality I had confidence in the chaps doing this)

Not checked to see how easy it is to remove the existing and whether it's bumper off etc, in reality I've got access to a ramp to assist

For me e stock one looks worse on the lighter coloured cars

apologies for some mk5 whoring

well a day of rare occurrences in today, the sun was out, the Pirelli was clean and even more rare mrs w le :grin:t me borrow it for a decent run and i still love it especially the wheels and seats, cars now at 49k, been mapped for 40k and on its original clutch

not driven it much since the Ed35 turned up even though the Pirelli is the main reason i bought one, was nice to see the differences in the map compared to the later Revo file on the Ed35 (which feels more sophisticaed but is equally as fast)

mrs w hasn't driven the Ed35 yet
