thanks for the feedback gents, i have no such issues with mrs w on the boy racer front given her daily

liking the subtle mods Murrayedition35

essentially its going to be a stage 2 car this year (never say never to 2+), currently have a set of engine mounts, arbs and short shift in the garage, also have coilies and brakes but fancying a change to those this time, exterior wise i like car how it is except for one tweak

rocco was about as low as i could go for daily driving, i have a sh#tty for the city for daily duties so can play with the Ed35 a bit more

I know I'm biased but I still think the grey is the best GTi colour.

Having said that, I still love white ones.

Great spec and like the colour...I went for the red 35 badge...

and the seat inserts....

I like the red '35' badge....goes well with the black. Where did you find that? I've seen the chrome finish '35' on ebay.

Car looks great & good on you for sticking with the ''much better'' 18'' alloys.

the price for those isn't too bad considering 35 badges are £29 from VW

well the car passed the 1,000 miles on its way to Daventry so i did stick to my word and waited until that benchmark (1,002 from memory) before the Ed35 got mapped (pic outside Revo as for them to scan the stock file for calibration purposes)

had the call last week from the guys at Revo that the production file was ready and could i spend the morning with them to set things up today and they had been doing some work on the K04 code compared to the map on our Pirelli so the plan is to do some back to back driving of both on the same route to give them some feedback (i am under orders to let mrs w drive and see what she thinks)

was also good to bump into Greg Emmerson of Eurotuner/European Car Magazine in the States who i'd last met when i took the rocco out a bruntingthorpe for a feature so he took the opportunity to have a gander at the Ed35 (he''s not sure on the wheels)

no dyno figures as should be as per the usual K04, i'll put it on the rollers at Surrey Rolling Road and i'm told should be available through the dealers at the end of May

Very nice looking car

Is it mechanically different to a normal GTI or just running a different map and a few cosmetics?

Sounds good fella, looking forward to seeing the results once you've had it on the rollers...
