time to tackle the roof

right the electric roof on my clipper came unplugged and with what i assume is anew plastic resivour pot in the glove box, i was just wondering if or how i fill it and what to fill it with as my manual doesnt cover cabriolets. im sure some1 must have changed 1 b4.

Easy enough to do.

You may need to warm it slightly as the later ones are a tight fit.

It's a case of undoing the 4 bolts that hold the cup in place.

This should also come with a new rubber seal so give that little wipe over with some hydraulic fluid.

You may need to bend the pump holding bracket down a bit to refit the unit as the new ones are a little longer.

Undo the filler bung and fill with G004 000 M2 fluid using a syringe a medicine one will help.


With the thumb screw undone raise and lower the hood manually a few times.

Tighten the thumb screw in and the filler bung enough to let any air out and operate the top normally.

tighten filler bung up.


Always check your fluid level with the hood down it should be in between the min and max marks.
