Snow Foam

Used my new Karcher & the Snow foam lance for the first time today, the foam I used was AS Hyper Foam...

I find thicker foam gives it a longer dwell time allowing it to do its job better, watery foam just runs off quickly and gives the foam minimal contact with the surface.

Agreed! It's so much fun too, I did the mrs Aygo and her sisters Rav at the same time...it's a proper awesome bit of kit

For boosted cleaning ability I add some shampoo,either Britemax cleanmax or farecla body detox though the body detox will strip lsp so only gets added when a full decontamination,polish and protection is on the cards.

when it comes to foaming, does it really matter how thick it is? the thicker it is, the longer it sits there, and it looks better, and depending on how much % of foam/water you use, all you do is use up the bottle quicker, not that that matters much, lol

From a technical point of view yes, as I've stated above the more watery the foam is the less time and contact it will have with the cars surface making it slightly less effective.
You actually use less if the mixture is slightly stronger and turned up on the bottle to maximum.

In my opinion I think that the thicker the foam the better chance it has of doing its jobs properly - pre-wash - thus the paint work enduring scratches when in contact with a wash mitt.

On DW forum, in the Polished Bliss section there is a post on how to service your PA foam lance ( http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=257541 ) and I am glad this was posted as my PA foam lance was not performing very well. So I followed the procedure in the video and rejuvenated it. I can't test it as we have a hosepipe ban, but fingers crossed.
