Drug problem in football?

Two footballers suffering heart attack in such short space of time I think there might be some kind of drug problem in football. Maybe a new performance enhancing drug?

Maybe performance enhancing or pain killers. The latter has been known to cause many heart attacks in sport.

They're probably high as a kite every night, why would the FA ban, fine or otherwise let it slip that the footballers that get paid in a day what most people do in a year - when they (FA) are making even more off the back of them? It's corruption of the worst kind because it betrays the fans - hence why I don't watch much sport now days, cricket was one of my favourites but is always getting spanked about by corruption claims.

I do think it's just a coincidence also...

The footballers nower days get drug tested and I don't think they are told in advance....but there probably not tested enough if you ask me!

Yeah I too think its a coincidence. Drugs tests are random in all sports nowadays so no advanced warnings. Rio Ferdinand ended up with a ban after he fobbed off the test cos he was supposed to be viewing a house iirc. Little chance they can get away with it, and they are tested for just about everything especially performance enhancing drugs.

Footballers are getting fitter and fitter as they years roll on and has got to the point where their pushing the limits due to the competition. Bring back the days of when they went out on the razzle the night before a game and living off last nights curries I say!

he didnt fob it off... he missed it cos he was high as a kite the night before. I know many people that had seen rio 'party' during the Leeds utd days.

Its academic tbh as he received a ban regardless. Not arguing with you though as I wouldn't doubt it for a second! I'm just glad he was made an example of, so others get the message they won't be able to just "fob it off".  :smiley:
