Well he had 1.00bar in one of his tyres, so goes to stick air in it & the compressor doesn't turn on. Turns out the fuse is blown. Then having a look at things, it turns out the fuse is also blown for the rear wiper.
Stick a 20A fuse in there & hey presto, it works. The only issue is, it doesn't stop - it keeps wiping.
Stick a 15A in there & again, it just keeps wiping.
Didn't want to try a 10A in case it blew (before i saw your link) as i don't think he had any spare 10As that weren't useful for other things.
Would a too high amp fuse be the cause of the wiper not turning off, or would it have to be something else? And yes, he pulled the stalk towards him to cancel the wiper.
Umm, oh & the service notification. I'm assuming vagcom or similar is required to turn that thing off (on the clocks)?
