Its actually a seat belt warning buzzer.  You can also get the dash mounted warning light to accompany it but ive yet to see the matching seat belt hasps and loom to run it all.

Well I actually done something yesterday for about 45 minutes
Started striping down the VR

I got 1 air con pipe away from having the front end off. Still the next plan is that we are going to cut the car in half just behind the A pillars. (Andy ;)) Why? Well so we can mock up the bay and work out exactly what we need to get rid of and remove etc etc. also will give us extra room in the unit especially when the mk3 goes on a rottiserie. Mates also building a show winning mk1 so I can't be greedy.

In the process of taking off whatever I think will aid me in the rebuild including as many screws/bolts that I can be bothered to take off. will always  loose some.

Also if you didn't know my old mk2 is on the front cover of Golf+. Great write up and pics from James Wallace. I had the pics done just under a year ago I felt abit gutted that I sold it. Just means I will have to make the mk3 better.

More updates soon

Stunning as ever,  how comes the cover mentions Cupra engine yet it has the Audi rings on it? (i know its essentially the same but...)

It's was a ayp lump from a Cupra mate. Baby turbo ko3. Intake is the same so I just made it look like a audi lump. So much smarter that way

Hi all

Been a while since anything had happened with this. Well got a little but if a update.

The mk3 has been with Matt @ Balls'd sorting out some little niggles I've had with the car. Thankfully I picked it up today and all is fine. Given me a bit of a boost with the build as I will be honest I weren't sure I wanted to carry on. As all is fine I'm guna use it a bit before I start the transformation so I'm going to bring her to UD. If you see it there don't expect amazing things, she sits well but is a bit rough on the outside. I'm sure if you've read this thread you will know I have plans for a full resto after worthersee.

Gotta say thanks to Ben aka scaff. He can't do much as he's got a broken leg so he's been teaching himself how to use photoshop. Here's a few he done for me. Defo helped me want to carry on. Cheers dude.

Not bad hey. Bloody boy has made me want RSs again tho.

Lastly thanks to Craig (prasina2 on edition) in the good ol US of A. He's been sorting me out with the last few US pieces I've needed. Top man so if you need smaller items get in touch with him.

So think I will get her cleaned up n grab some nice pics which I will post up. Again the real work will start after worthersee in may.

Thanks for looking
