Well worthersee has been and sadly gone. Roll on next year.

Come back with some great ideas but will share them later when it happens. As for now tho, like I said in previous posts, its time to strip it down after worthersee. And that's exactly what I've started doing.

1st thing was to make some space in the unit n I now have the donar vr6 in front of the brown 1 so no excuses!

At the end of the day the standard inlet is long for a reason.

Seriously - +20BHP on an NA using a short manifold?  Does it have an electric supercharger in it to make those gains?

I have some magic beans here - they're amazing.  You sound like just the right sort of bloke to buy them.  I have to say, they won't be cheap, but I think you'll really appreciate their finer qualities. PM me for more details.

Looks great mate. Didn't see you over in Worthersee though? Would have been great to see it.

I'm actually on the short runner quest too. Although SP certainly wont be on the list. I've not been looking into them for any kind of power gains, but purely for boost pipe routing. Since the SP intake runners dont use velocity stacks inside and everyone seems to be doing ok with them, I'll be tig welding up my own using the bottom part of the VR inlet so it keeps the standard injector rail.

The thing for me is just not being able to justify spending 1000+$ on what is essentially a bit of square tubing welded to a standard inlet. I'll make my own and to the size/style i'd like for 10% of the cost. If the SP's used velocity stacks it would be another matter, but I think they would really only be of benefit to a NA engine. I don't think its quite as much of an issue when under boost.

Actually mr Stone Hell I haven't purchased anything yet 

I've got 3 or 4 that I've saved to my phone that I'm weighing the options up. The sales pitch for the SP intake sounds the best and out of all the other SR intakes it looks the best.

I'm not afraid to admit the way I build my cars doesn't always make sense but give a dam. I'm going for the SR intake for looks to keep the filter away from the chassis leg which will be smoothed, away from the exhaust and away from having a ugly ass induction pipe around the engine.

If (when) I go down the turbo route later on then I'm allready on my way.
