radio surround. NOW PAINTED ENGINE BAY UPDATE

basically i've searched on here, in the maintanance and info section, on vw vortex and even google and still I cant find a guide of how to remove this part.
now im either an idiot or there isn't one (im going for idiot)

using my highly advanced paint skills I have painted the parts I wish to remove  :nerd:

If the trim has always been black then it's part of the cage and cannot be removed individually :wink:

mine were black but they un cliped by pushing them down and as for the cup holder a clip each side i used a flad blade to un clip :tongue:

some you can unclip, others cant,

if you cant you have to start at the back, take out the ashtrays and drink holder, undo the screws remove the sections around gear stick and hand break then remove glove box then you can take the radio surround out. (stupid i know, another thing the monkeys at vw decided to make stupidly complicated!)
