They have found 12 Brand new - never flown - Spitfires in Burma that they buried when the war ended.

Buried about 6 ft deep in crates, to stop them falling into enemy hands.  Then the RAF forgot where they buried them.  :grin:

They now plan to dig em up and make them airworthy.

Nice.

I found the film a bit Disney TBH, and full of mistakes.

my landlords done some scheme where he owns 1/12th or will own 1/12th of a spitfire.

Let's hope it not a Triumph then, he'll probably own the dust caps!

Shame the Biggin Hill air shows are no longer. When I were a wee lad my dad used to take me and I used to absolutely love it.

I saw the Vulcan bomber their a few times.... blimey that was around 30 ears ago ( god I fell old now )  :smiley:

Its really annoying though that the Biggin Hill air shows are no more..... Was really looking forward to taking my little boy  :sad:

Ever been to RIAT (Royal international air tattoo)? It is a good weekend for sure if you like the whole loads of jets/planes/helicopter/military shiz. I went last year was wicked cool...Saw the yanks and their A-10's  :cool:
