Mk3 Price?
« on: 01 June 2005, 23:22 »
Hi folks!

wonder if i could get some help, as to how much my Mk3 Golf gti is worth please....

The spec is as follows..

Mk3 Golf GTI in Tornedo Red.

The body work on the car can only be described as immaculate, it has been regulary washed / polished and always garaged from new.

15" (BBS) VR6 alloy wheels with new tyres, lower front splitter and full black leather interior, recent new exhaust, brakes, etc.

Just serviced and full years MOT

The car has done approxamately 65k with full service history - Fitted with an expensive Thatcham alarm and Cobra immobiliser.

Also comes with the private plate "C8OLF" (looks like golf!) - worth quite a lot too..

any help would be appreciated, and obviously if anyones interested make me an offer

Good spec, low miles, FSH, i reckon you could get as much as £2k.

Have you had the plate valued?  I don't know much about private plates but i suspect you would do better selling the plate separately.

A VR6 isn't a way of life, it's just a car.

I'd say £1500 - £1800 for the car.

The problem is getting someone to part with 2k for a 1992 car - no matter how mint or low the mileage is. Most people would go for the 97 R reg with 110k

Yawn! Its only worth what someone's prepared to pay for it!! What is the point of these threads? there's auto trader website and mags in smiths if you want a guide. Ask 3k if someone's stupid enough to pay it!
