Custom exhaust?
« on: 12 April 2012, 17:14 »
Emailed a few local companies and got this back, sound good?

Hi Jon thank you for your enquiry on a cat back system for your vw golf. I can give you a price for a standard custom build cat back for £299+vat with a life-time warranty, built with a quality 304 stainless steel tubing.
our custom build will be more ideal as it is made to your choice of sound, looks and flow... it will take approx 2-3hours to complete the job..

My other option was a scorpian for £336?

I have a Longlife one, you get a choice of standard, mid sports or full sports sounds, I have the mid sport and its pretty loud when you put your toe down
Life time guarantee etc etc
Cost me £340 from the cat back - and had a 200 cell sports cat added later for £399
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

Just a local company near me. Deal with longlife exhausts. Seems quite good price and get lifetime warranty. If I get scorpian will have to get someone to first as well so more hassle.

This is the scorpian one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330527047712?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

Cool sounds good. Don't want it overly loud lol, comes to about£350 fully fitted so didn't think that was too bad.

Ive got the 3"dp with sports cat atm so think a cat back will set it off nicely

Was thinking of turbo back but what's the difference?

Nick and Craig at Carbon heard mine and that was without the sports cat
Next time I go and see them will be with the K03s fitted too

If you are looking at long life I wouldnt recommend anything over the mid sports because given how loud mine is a full sports would be horrific
