I must be getting old as my premiums are cheap.  The V5 I had cost £345, my V6 family wagon costs £355 and the little 8v is £280 all fully comp. Scoobys come in at £490.  What does your vRS cost Wayne?  I know Chuff pays about a quid for all his cars. :lipsrsealed:

I was only quoted 100 on top of what im paying now for my mk3 8v

I have honestly no idea how groups/insurance etc works, so not going to get into that argumant, i only assumed lower group meant less insurance

Keep it, your Mk3 has more rust and less horses
Sell the tug and spend the money on insuring the Toyota

If you really miss a bit of weekend sailing the Toyota will still get you a handful of Mk3's in couple of years time

It's all nonsense anyway premiums I have always ignored the 'group' from the age of 24. I have never paid more than £600 and thats a range of cars that I have owned.

Toyota's I would assume would be cheap to insure.

Also depends on how many cvnts have crashed them, how old the car is, what you had for breakfast, what make your toaster is and if it is a 2 or 4 slice toaster.

None of it makes sense yesterday my ex did a quote on a 1994 1.6 Astra £9500, did a quote on a mk2 1.3 and gti £650 and £800. she is 18 and is a learner, I will pay more than that being 24 with 3 years no claims on my mk3 gti 8v

Current cars 1995 Golf gti colour concept 2.0 8v 156,000 miles. bmw 316 1.9 129,000. yeah, life's good!
