Yup it was predictable really. And the ironic thing is that the majority of mac users are too deluded to think they are at risk.

I know malware has been around for yonks on Mac's, be it commercial or underground stuff. It's the scale of this one that's astounding.

I would recommend removing Java and any other 3rd party plugin's all together, unless you absolutely do need it - this goes for Windows and OS X users.

Read about this the other day wondered how long it would be before it appeared on here, any Mac user with common sense has anti virus software nowadays  :cool:

I have had anti virus software since I moved to intel Macs from my power pc G5, with Macs now sharing the same chips it was only a matter of time before viruses became an issue. I know it's not just down to the intel components but I personally have had more issue win my Intel Mac than I have with any of the Macs I have had in the past.

I still wouldn't want a Windows PC though  :laugh:
