Oh Cr4p

Whilst looking into trying to get a Gating Order for my mum and her neighbours due to loads of anti social behaviour I came across this....

Is the fouling of public paths by dogs an offence?
This is an offence if a relevant bylaw is in force on the path in question, and in any case it may amount to a common law nuisance. It is also an offence if the local Council has designated the land under the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996, although a lot of land types cannot be designated. Dog fouling may also be a civil wrong against the landowner. Even where an offence is not committed it is still good practice to clear up after your dog.

Seems that most of the signs saying fines will apply are only applicable under civil law? Presume that means on private land they can get to feck???

I fu*king hate sh!tters, they own dogs and do not have the responsiblity to clean up after their own dogs mess!
Its not the dogs fault, bloody owners!
If its on public land they can get fined if its private land like your own garden the law can't do sh!t even if the neighbours can smell it. The issues are dogs can sh!t anywhere they like as long as the owners clean up!
My kids tread on grass patches where dogs foul and we have sighns, but are they inforced NO!
Sometimes I stand out side my drive watch them and see if they pick up after their dogs sometimes they just don't!!!

Bloody hell. I thought I was grumpy this morning!!!

My point was that as a dog owner I DON'T have to pick up due to most of those signs not being legally enforceable??

BTW I always have a cr4p bag in most items of clothing as I too have kids and it's just Minging and irresponsible not to pick up.

my town is terrible for it and thats the pavements.. when i lived in scotland there used to be designated buggy type things that went around cleaning it up and washing the area.. tho i dont see why tax payers should fund that sort of set up... given the current state of the economy most cant afford to keep themselves never mind a dog!
my neighbours are proper mingers.. they ( as i do) have 2 dogs and they are let out 3 times a day ( on the dot.. the first being 6:30am-bloody yappy stupid things they are ) and they havent picked up a single bit of doings since the summer!! over the hot period we had recently my family wernt able to barbeque due to the stench..they never walk the dogs but if they cant be bothered to keep there own garden clean then i guess they wouldnt bother on the beach, local park etc

i have small kids and go mental if i see an owner that fails to pick up..they need a boot up the hello!
we have lots of signs.. have never heard of anyone be fined.. theyre as useless and disregarded as the 'no ball games' signs lol
its not a pleasant job .. picking up i mean, but its a must  regardless of threats of fines
