« on: 08 April 2012, 22:40 »
One of my friends is selling a load of his camera gear to fund new lenses to go with his Nikon D4. So he's got all sorts up on ebay:

D700
50mm f1.4
85mm f1.4
70-200 f2.8
28-70 f2.8
Sb800 speedlight
battery grip

and much more..

I think he's having a laugh with his prices, just for example
50mm f/1.4 new £292 his second hand £275
24-70 f/2.8 new £1199 him £1050

I've no idea about the value of Nikon kit, but he's a professional photographer, he takes care of his kit and if that's what he wants for it, then that's up to him.
Ok so the saving on the 50mm f1.4 isn't massive (though now reduced to £260), but the 24-70 is now £1035 and still a £164 isn't to be sniffed at.
The question is always whether the buyer thinks it's worth it.
Same as with secondhand cars, it's only worth what someone is willing to spend on it.

Looks like someone already snapped up the D700.
