Multi Rotary Tool - Advice please....

i get on quite well with these.

find electric ones are to bulky to get where i want to get with them.  tho the cheep ones can be viewed as a consumable tool   i tend to kill the bearings but there again doing heads put a lot of side load on them  that proably woun't be a problem but i prefer  pencil grinder over 1/4 grinder   due to easyer accses  and running them at 140 PSI its actuay faster at removeing metal

I got a dremmel for my birthday many moons ago in a nice limited wooden box I love it and it only was about £70 odd
The bushes are still good after my abuse with about twenty cutting discs. These days I've learnt to use angle grinders with diamond discs they last so much longer

With Danny on that one, at my dads place we have an old pencil grinder which goes straight on the air feed and runs at about 25k rpm for roughing out
Then the NSK impulse on page 45 is then broken out for finishing with Abracap/Abradisc (19 to 21)

Still a bit hard to get away with a compressor in the kitchen although a small one is about the same footprint as 4 pairs of shoes

Well after much deliberation I have gone a bought a Ryobi. 150W, variable rpm (10K - 30K). Came with a bench clamp and flex shaft plus 115 accessories. And the collet size is industry standard so can use attachments of pretty much any make. All for the bargain price of £43 (15% discount at B&Q). Similar spec Dremmel was £110. Very happy bunny
