Custom LCD
« on: 31 May 2005, 20:54 »
Hi all,

Just toying with an idea. Would it be possible to program something like this LCD Display to display information about the engine, oil pressure, oil temp, etc? This website link to some software that looks like it can run the LCD controller, but I guess a computer will need to be running to power and control the LCD?
Other than spending £1000s can anyone else think of a way of having this information on an LCD screen in the car?

Cheers

Matt B.

This is for the Mk1. A hide-away LCD panel. So the car looks orignal but I still have access to the engine info if I need it.

I would like to see some pics, if you get a chance. I have looked in to it a bit more and found a complete package that supplies the LCD and driver which can simply be programmed. It is called ezLCD-001. But they only have a 2.7" display at the moment
