numberplate lights stopped working
« on: 06 April 2012, 21:46 »
My numberplate lights no longer work,  I have depo projectors lights with the angel eyes, but they are my worst nightmare so I leave the angel eyes unplugged so its just the projector. Would this have anything to do with it?

The bulbs are fine as we tried them in my pals golf tonight  :undecided:

Anyone got any ideas?

thanks in advance

As in the numberplate lights at the rear? Plug it all in and see if sorts the problem out? Have the bulbs just gone?

Yes bud the ones at the rear in the bumper

Bulbs are fine as they are those led ones which we tried in my friends dub and worked instantly so I guess mines has a wiring fault somewhere :undecided:

Ok the cables for the lights are running  trough the rubber grommet on the left side close to the hinges for the door, quite often the cables are snapping there from time and aging. Check them.

are you talking about the boot lid or an actual passenger door?

Have you just the LED bulbs in and they don't work? As they have a +ve and -ve side, they need to be correct way round! I thought mine were bust until  :lipsrsealed:
