I took mine out as it was causing earths. Just put in some Osram Nightbreakers and I cant tell any difference.  :smiley:

Shouldn't have this problem as most I've seen and bought have a direct earth to the battery...

It looked like a cheap ebay one and was on when I bought the car. I repaired it where it had rubbed on the top of the fan, and had to re crimp new spades on too. In the end I just thought bugger it and ripped it out. Put the Nightbreakers on and couldn't tell the difference from before with the loom.  :smiley:

I rewired mine yesterday, was getting 10.1v at the bulbs so thought I may as well as It was all free.
 I had a few 12v relays knocking around, a fully insulated fuse holder and the neccessary wiring.

I got 13v at the bulb holder. I still don't rate the brightness of the bulbs lol.
