home made cage i take it dave?.. what steel did you use?. i want a cage for mine but i aint paying £800 for an omp one..

The cage is based on a 6-point bolt in.

It makes most sense as you get the main and front hoops already bent up.

Material should be CDS minimum.  Specs are in the Blue Book.

Can get a cage from ebay, as long as you can weld can mod it as you wish. Picked up this the other day from a corsa



Needs a bit of work but I thought a good base to start from and for £36 cant complain!  :smiley:

Need to read through all the specs now get it ready before fitting.

NO, that's no good - the main hoop needs to be a single tube.

What you've bought there is £36 of scrap.

The welds are f**king awful on it, loads of bits of unwelded wire on them, could do better with my eyes closed.  It will all be taken apart and rewelded just now have the bends and some of the material to do it easier. Want to do it right that why im following this progress and asking to make sure
