got a mk2 with a mk3 bottom end had the head done after it blowin 2 weeks after a got it its always ran at a low tempreture the thermostst was changed at the same time the bottom end is the 2E engine the head is the PB one its been gasflowed and got veirner pully etc what can be cousing the early start of the fan?

it also needs the peddal featherd wen starting cold the idle meter is unplugged wen plugged in the revs go up over 2000 is it comon to leave this unplugged with this conversion or will i change the idle meter?

You need a new idle valve, not sure on the temp issue.

the thermostat is stuck open. did you exercise it before putting it in? also it's possible you have the wrong thermostat in it that opens at a lower temperature.

A cold temp thermostat wont make the fans kick in early. I would be checking the rad fan switch if the fans are kicking in too early.

a thought the idle cotrol valve was screwd. can u get these new or salvage job?

the thermostat is working as it should the bottom pipe stays cold till the car is hot think it is a dodgy wire on the temp gauge the plastic is broken on the wire try sourcing a new plug and sensor
