Cheers for that Jonathan - brought back all the memories of watching it aged 13/14...

Those spectators were completely insane though, and it just went to show how much of a dodgy b'stard Balestre was. He didn't care about safety, just money.

When rallying was rallying! The 80's/very early 90's really was a halcyon era for all forms of motorsport, Group B rallying, Group C sportscars, 1000BHP+ F1 cars, mental 2 stroke 500 bikes etc. If they could only go that mental again but with modern safety measures it would be amazing!
