Rear Brake Pads
« on: 01 April 2012, 14:36 »
Hey guys, looking for some help if i may?

My rear brake pads need changing, I went into Halfords to buy some new ones but he told me there are like four different types/shapes for the MK4 Golf. Does anyone know how I can find out which ones I need without taking the brakes off and looking, im not very good at the technical side of things so im not confident about doing it. My golf is the 2001 2.0ltr GTi if it makes any difference.

Also, can anyone recommend a decent make of brake pads or somewhere good to buy them from?

Thanks guys.

Any decent website you can enter your car details and it's shows the compatible parts. Try Eurocarparts?  Don't, I repeat don't, buy any pads from Halfords!!

Indeed tell them which discs are fitted to your car and they will know which pad to supply you
