sat nav vs. speedo

Well i done a 230 mile round trip today mostly motorway bit of a roads and was curious at how far out my speedo was against the gps sat nav reading and any figure given on my speedo at any mph was 2 mph out from the sat nav  :smiley: just thought i'd share that with you all  :laugh:

thats what i thought  :smiley: it's a garmin satnav not sure on the model etc but its a good one  :wink:

Yeah but on a 14 year old car running different size wheels to standard etc i think 2 mph difference is quite good  :smiley: i'm just surprised thats all lol

I've not tried it in the new car, but in my last 2 cars the speedo would indicate 33mph when the sat nav gave the true speed as 30mph.
I should try it in the new car though just so I can benchmark it, it shouldn't be too far out as it's only 5 years old.

car says 70, sat nav says 77, didn't feel very fast, was in the left lane aswell  :grin:

With 40PSI in all four tyres the Skoda reads DEAD accurate.

It's pretty scary. :grin:
