What is it with some c@^ts?!
« on: 30 March 2012, 12:05 »
Just popped the car over at Kwik Fit (not ATS) so they could take a look at my flat tyre from the other week.  At first he couldn't find anything wrong with the tyre, so said he'd replace the valve then leave the wheel for 24 hours and see if it goes flat again or not.

After replacing the valve he was taking the wheel off the machine and something caught his eye.  Some filthy imbred c%^t of a scroat has stabbed the tyre in the side wall with a thin blade!   Not repairable.  So now I'm £50 out of pocket as I've got to buy a tyre to replace the ruined BRAND NEW tyre already on there.  Fair play to Kwik Fit though, he wouldn't take my money for the new valve, said it was all free.

What is it with some people?!  I live in a block of new flats and the car in parked in a secure inside car park.  That means one of the residents in the building has stabbed it.  New set of wheels and tyres on the car, probably jealously I guess?  :undecided:

Idiots   Reminds me of when I got 4 new tyres and drove home to find a large screw sticking out of the sidewall, had to replace it and it had only done about 4 miles

4 miles?  Even worse!  This tyre had done about 500 miles before it got stabbed.  Just ordered another, £53.08.

Is it not possible you've caught it on something?

It's possible.  He said he'd seen similar damage in the past from around this area. Entered at a 90 degree angle from the tyre wall.  I hadn't used the car for a few days and it was fine, then walked past it one day and saw the tyre completely deflated.  Pumped it up again and it went flat again within a few hours.  So it's happened whilst it was sat being un used.

Just glad I'm moving next month.

Always go with c*ck up in favour of conspiracy, unless you have any evidence to the contrary.

Like a knife blade hanging out of the tyre.

Bear in mind a tyre can lose a lot of pressure before it actually appears to be soft.

Like a scuff mark or screw hanging out of the tyre.

Bear in mind a scum bag can slash a tyre N leave the scene before it actually appears to be soft.
I've fixed it for you

Anyone in the Manchester area have a use for a basically brand new 16" tyre, but with a cut in the side wall?
