wind deflector problem
« on: 30 March 2012, 10:52 »
OK maybe im being totally stupid about this one lol

I bought a pair of these yesterday -> http://www.micksgarage.co.uk/proddetails.aspx?pid=169605&pk=55278

installed them, went to work, put my passenger window down and the glass just dropped out. Managed to get the window back onto the runners last night, and same thing happened again this morning, only I had someone to grab the glass. Seems the deflectors are catching the glass. Could this be a problem with the deflectors being too thick, or am I putting them into the wrong place, or is it better to get the stick-on deflectors instead of 'clip-in' type.

Maybe more like the glass is not held solid in the mechanisms' clips.

door card off, rubber grommetts out and tighten then up, carefully.

cool, was thinking maybe something to do with the runners as well, as when I was putting the glass back in, i noticed they were oxidized like mad so was planning to strip the door down tomorrow and try and clean it up. Will give that a go anyways, cheers buddy :)

Or an easier solution would be to reset your windows to stop just before the top.
