High pitch noise under load

Standard GTI.
If i put my foot down in second or third theres a high pitch noise between 3.5-5K revs like a high pitch resonance.
Anyone any idea what it maybe?
The problem is i don't always drive this car and i cannot remember it been there before. 
I have read about similar with induction kits, They talk about boost leaks maybe the cause, is this a common problem? If so could i monitor it with VCDS to check.
Anyone any ideas or is this normal once its a couple years old?

Mine didn't do that standard.

Wonder if the DV is split. They made a later version which was better but don't know if yours has it?

That will be the Mrs mate. Remove before driving and the problem should go away.

That oil leak mine has seems to be coming from round were that actually bolts too from round the bolt / mounting surface nd its running down the pipe to were I can see it.
Only a slight weep but then again I have only used it twice since this month for only around 70 mile.

I rubbed quite a bit of oil off that pipe and bracket before i took the photo.

is that pipe the oil feed for the turbo? if so and its that which is leaking i wouldn't use the car.

it sounds like its a knackered DV from your previous posts though.

thats a warranty job but they're cheap anyway if you wanted to do the work yourself
