caliper paint

Looking at re colouring my calipers . Just the same colour . Have just used the paint that you brush on in the past . But have seen you can get spray on stuff now. Anyone used the spray stuff before ? What's the coverage and finish like

I had to colour code some carriers I got the other day, first I sprayed them black with some matt from a rattle can then gave them a couple of layers of hammerite with a brush. Don't know if that was the answer you were after but that worked for me!

finish will depend on prep,wouldn't it be easier to remove calipers with spraying reducing the chance of over spray ?

i love the brush on stuff no masking and finish is really good, stuff i use goes like plastic and lasts for ages good selection of colours aswell cant go wrong dont see brush marks either and is hard wearing and lasts well.

Hammerite is fine, to spray them means removing them and stripping down

i just use engine lacquer lasts for ever and as a good heat resistance  cheap as and loads of colours

Is this genuinely good stuff? Doing mine on Thurs next week so may get some of this

ive used this stuff for the last 5 years on cars and have used the red and recently the green on my current golf, the red is very bright and stays very bright aswell where some paints fade badly with age, as i said this stuff is very much like plastic it goes like 2 pack paint when it goes off, best part is calipers can stay on the car just remove pad retaining clips paint and put back together when dry, no removing calipers or having to mask up everything to spray them just a can of brake part cleaner and a wire brush is the only thing you need, and theres enough paint to do them twice i still have loads of red leftover from when i done my toyota mr2, but yes i highly recomend seller very good paint indeed and as i said lots of choice in colours you cant go wrong really.
