I'm looking for a new exhaust for my vr6... But these two types keep popping up. Can someone please tell me what is the difference between a resonating exhaust and a non-resonating exhaust?

A non-resonated exhaust system may help with performance but will have a louder exhaust note as a result. A resonated system will give you extra performance without increasing the exhaust noise much.

If you get a decent exhaust the note wont be chavy, just a more beefy tone, there it a difference.
