Not sure about the steering but yes that is usual for the Mk2 rear calipers...  Left mine for a week and they siezed! Gutted. Replace with Mk3 ones and you should be fine.

Im sure blue disks mean that they have overheated. like the break is always on.

Is the handbreak cable in good nick and does it stick? My cable was sticking and it held the handbreak on and made the disks blue. replace/adjust the cable if so
Could be a cheap fix you neve know :wink:
If you do need to replace the calipers then get some mk3 ones.

what condition are your pads in?
