Biggest tablet pc ...
« on: 28 March 2012, 14:26 »
I'm looking to get a tablet for the office, for use in meetings (to save people crowding round a single computer terminal). So I thought a tablet PC would work pretty well.

I'm not too fussed on OS, as it will really just be for web browsing and nothing else. But size is the most important thing.

Do they make 15" (or bigger) tablet PCs?

so instead of people crowding one PC they crowd round a tablet instead  :undecided:

If you want something for meetings, get either a projector or an LCD and a wireless HDMI sender.

otherwise you're looking at an all-in-one PC with touchscreen like;

Not really what I had in mind ... :sad:

A tablet makes for sense for this particular use (its not for presentations, its for showing a single person something quickly).

Not really a tablet as such but we got a few of these at work. Full touch screen capabilities with a massive screen.

ah fair enough, you could go for something like;

12.1" screen

If you start going bigger then it's going to be quite heavy to pass from person to person.

That looks interesting.

Its just going to be a slide round the table affair, ie. "have a quick look at this".

Edit: That Asus thing is nice, but massively overpriced for what I'm after.

Not sure my budget permits that. Plus all my staff are spillers!

I think the biggest tablets are about 10 inch, so I'll go down to PC world and have a play

Hmmmm, I'm now thinking Motorola Xoom (as they're getting cheap) + a projector and a wireless kb

So for small meetings, the tablet itself would be more than adequate and perfect for use. But when there's a few people, I can just hook it up to a bigger display without any real bother.

Cheaper than an AIO pc and still practical as a portable device.
