Thats what spanner fits a M26 bolt.
My oil cooler is a 36mm to undo it.

Its M14x1.5 on golfs. Not sure what the M26 plug is for

36mm really? I know some oil filter housings on other models are 36mm but surely not for the sump plug?

think steve was saying if it was m26 you would need a 36mm spanner to undo it... which you defanitly dont

It says on that website its for the turbo petrols and v6's.
gearbox is not much bigger than the normal plug I think
