There are guides on the net, do a quick search. I only have guides for a diesel install!
As for wiring it in so it lights up, you can use the blue/grey wire from the headlight switch as your LIVE and then drill a small hole and bolt it down to a piece of the metal where all of the under gubbins of the steering wheel goes.
