Moto GP 2012 Thread
« on: 26 March 2012, 12:13 »
OK, So the 2012 season is just 2 weeks away, really looking forward to it.

First impresions are that i can see Casey Stoner running the show again. From recent testing it looks like only Pedrosa and Lorenzo will be able to keep up the pac
Gutted that Rossi hasnt been able to sort out his Ducati, was really hoping he would find his feet this year and complete for a top 3 finish.

Obviously want Crutchlow to have a good season, Be nice to see him on a few podiums.

One to watch for me would be Stefan Bradl, Moto GP rookie, Him and Marc Marquez destroyed the Moto2 field last season, Obviously its a big step up but i can see him emulating the likes of Marco Simoncielli (rip) with his transition to Moto GP.

Keep an eye out for UK hopeful Bradley Smith in Moto2 aswell this season.

Will try and post my race predictions on this thread once ive seen Warmups and Qualifying.

Always been a big F1 fan and never really watched Moto GP, but think I will give it a go this season. As the clips I did watch last season I enjoyed

Is it on BBC?

All races are live on BBC, Qualifying can be watched on Red Button along with Moto2 and Moto3 races

I'd always watch the odd race but only in the last few seasons since being with my misus who's whole family are massive fans have i never missed a race. Going to Silverstone for my first live experience this year.

Absolutely love MotoGP and lesser classes, I worked for SharkUK who distribute helmets, leather ect ect to the motorcycling trade, have a mate who goes to pretty much ever race to help the riders....

I'm also gutted to here Rossi hasn't been able to sort his issues out with his Ducati!!

And yes very much RIP Simoncielli! Such massive loss to the sport...

I think there will be a lot more excitment on the grip this year, with the introduction of CRT teams meaning there will be around 23 riders now as opposed to around 16/18

With rossi i think its a case of 'if it aint broke.....' but then i dont know the actual reason hes gone to ducati? Have been neglecting the motogp but then again i can never be arsed staying in on weekends

Its about his time to give up now, hes had his run just like the schumacher days

But i have sky+ power now

And another one hoping clutchlow has a good season!

Friend of mine works for Dorna, he's the one that chooses the replays we see on TV. He's got me paddock passes for Silverstone for the weekend, so I'll be watching it from there. I'd like to see Rossi get back to the top.

Thing is with Rossi and that bike is the chassis.
When stoner won the championship on it, it was a mild steel tube chassis. Then they made the carbonfibre tub that was dog poo that gave no feel! Now rossi thinks he can sort with a alloy jap chassis.
Bring back the steel tube I say!

First time I watched they raced 500cc twostrokes. Rossi's first year in the moto gp class. Can't remember where he finished that year.

He pissed it on Honda then on Yamaha and now his got a challenge.

Honda is the bike to have this year plain and simple but Im tempted to bet on george!
