oh, just had an advert at the top for an 90's A4 Quattro ... that made me think, why not chuck in a charged engine of some description, after all you like Syncros, you like VAG cars, you have skills to make it happen...

If there was more to that mk1 Rocco I'd want it. But a complete mk2 as above is pretty tempting no?

been gone and bought one with a live grenade in the engine bay.

if all goes to plan i'll be bimbeling off to get it some point over the weekend just trying to work out if i should be cocky and take a few parts with me fit them there and drive it back, or be sensible and take van and trailer

all the VW's have gone bar 1.

I'd split the difference and take an A-frame.

Bear in mind that it's pretty tough to prevent a determined Danny from completing a mission - it needs a fairly sudden and catastrophic failure to get him into 'being recovered' mode.  This is the guy who's driven Golfs on three cylinders for a few hundred miles on the continent before now.... trying to remember the details, but IIRC it involved removing the sparkplug or something similar to just let it run without destroying itself.

The other one that stands out was turning up at my place in a shed GTI at one point, a bit spaced out and explaining that it had to be rebuilt during the night before and although it was running OK it *was* burning equivalent amounts of oil to petrol.

i'm thinking it's time for another old vw but being very indecisive of what one to get.

ually i would straight for a mk2 of some form or other but at some point over the last several years i driven every flavor ever made and owned all but one of said flavors, if one appeared for sale i probly be tempted to have a punt on it tho.

a mk2 16v  idea comes round occasionaly, buy a shed  use it as a rolling test bed and paint and tinker withit when can be arsed, then there is the rallye idea but they are fat and slow in std form  so that would need adjusting.  the idea that won't go away is a corrado

mk2 16v  or corrado  something ummmmmm

Do it Danny have you had a go in a sorted one?
