« on: 25 March 2012, 22:58 »
Is anyone on here rockin pressed plates on there mk6? I'm toying with the idea of getting some of the legal ones with the right font (not the German type) but haven't seen them on a 6.

I am.... hmm let me see if I've got any photos.

Sorry, haven't got any where you can tell they're actually pressed. I did get them off eBay though, £26 for the pair, the "pressed letters" aren't that "pressed" - but they still are - it's very subtle and I like it. A few people have noticed and mentioned them and said they look nice though, so they're noticeable to the trained eye.

Personally, I think they only look any good if you have a nice short personal reg number.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

These look like a normal plate, same font etc but slightly and I mean only very slightly pressed. Personally I think all number plates look sh!te and I wish we could get away without them  but unfortunately we can't!

I was lucky enough to get in early when the single digit prefix ones were plentiful. I've even got plates on retention for the kids when they are old enough. I bought them for them when they were born. There is still a while to go as our eldest is only 8, but I figured by the time he's 17, I would not be able to buy anything like the plates I did.
