Mine ran out in June last year, since then I've hired cars, used it as ID and been pulled over by Feds.

The only person to notice it an finally tell me it's out of date was the sales girl at VW when I wanted to test drive a van!
Skoda Octavia VRS DSG (soon!)
Skoda Rapid Spaceback

An a Signum for towing me old caravan!

Cheers chuff. You said yes to 2 but i asked if i can still drive my car tommorrow or does it mean that i  can only drive till 12am tonite?
Rather not take the risk as they have already sent me a reminder.

Why did you wait for it to expire before renewing it if they have sent the reminder?

I renewed the photo on my licence the other week, Got the reminder through the door & sent it off the next day, New licence arrived within a week
