Random boost dumps?
« on: 25 March 2012, 17:10 »
Hi guys, having a problem where my car seems to randomly open the dv on slight acceleration, from low down in the revs (1500-2000).

I can see it happening on my guage, hear and feel it (slight jolt)

I thought it may be the n249 playing silly buggers, so I unplugged the vac pipes and bypassed it, yet it still seems to have the problem? I'm a bit stumped on that!

Any ideas?

okay stab in the dark here but could it be the actuator not holding in?

Hmm, well I did a smoke test on it the other day and all seemed fine.

How would I tell if the actuators playing up?

i dont know myself but if it was failin and closing off the turbo then that would course the dv to blow off all i could say it swop it are you running really high boost? might pay to swap to a forge actuator may be any one what to help us out here?
