Wheel spacers

What is the difference, if any, between branded (Hubcentric, FK etc) and un branded wheel spacers? I have searched but there is no definitive answer...A good deal for some 'unbranded' ones have popped up... :smiley:

Also, what are really thin things that halfrauds sell? With loads of different holes for diff patterns...

hub centric isnt a brand (or as far as im awear)

hubcentric is the spacer type, basically they have the little "lip" type thing for your alloy to sit on.

personally i wouldnt be botherd about a make, after all its only a peice of metal, however if your going over 5mm ide get hubcentric ones, your choice if you decide to go for hubcentric fk ones or another brand over hub centric ebay speshals

and they sound like 5mm universal spacers, cause 5mm isnt a massive gap they dont need to be hubcentric and dont really have any pressure put on them they just space it out and stop your wheel going right up against the hub so you can get ones to fit multiple bolt patterns

Ahh, right. I gotcha. So the hub but just makes it easier, or 'safer' as it can also sit in the hub?

Also, mcgee, let me know about the postage ASAP please matey :smiley:

i may be wrong but i thought hubcentric is where the spacer sits central to the hub ie the middle where as cheap universal ones have a whopping big hole in the centre and afaik hubcentric only starts from 10mm and above

The cheap ones can move around and go off centre and cause no end of trouble! Imbalance and very wobbly wheels!

Only buy hubcentric ones.

Why do you want them?
