Revo Releasing K04 TSI Hardware
« on: 21 March 2012, 16:11 »
At long last, Revo get their finger out for Revo customers! Be interesting to see how they price up against AWE and APR kits. AWE still the cheapest that I can see at £1750 for the kit.

Much cheaper than part exchanging for an ED35, and easy to remove again at resale. I'm liking this idea!

So what power do you think you could get from this? Would we need stage 2 mods first? How will the clutch hold up?  :lipsrsealed:

In the region of 360bhp - 370bhp, some have had nearly 380bhp with different tunes etc. Will not get much more out a K04.

You will need a upgraded filter, turbo exhaust and an opitional Upgraded intercooler.

Gave them an email to see how much it will be for the kit. If its much dearer than AWE's kit then that would be the way forward and get the REVO tune.

The software is currently going through testing, the hardware is available from your local dealer. We are hoping to have the software released in the next few weeks. No price has been set as of yet, all information will be available when software is released.

Best regards,

I think they had a similar statement up before releasing the revo for the mk6 gti... took them ages. You might want to keep the pressure up on them slightly Kenny! that usually makes them speed things up a little

Then release something which from my past experiance is not very well tested... Then blame the user.. Some tunning companies seem to use the public as prototype testing so i would myself wait till a few years down the line until they may have sorted any issues out. Let some other sucker pay the cost.

Kenneth you know I love you man and respect your technical knowledge, yes bromance going on here to the rest of you
With this you are well into Evo territory and surpassed RS turbs too. However, yours is a GiT like mine so is it safe for a front wheel drive car to perform this high...?

It will struggle in the wet for sure if putting the foot down, same as stage 2 and stage 1 does. All about controlling the right foot! Not sure how the K04 would be in the dry, not read any problems from out American friends that have fitted it. If you have lots of money you could fit an uprated LSD!
