So here is a pic of the copper pipe I have bent. It has an external diameter of 15mm and internal around 12mm. Do you reckon the connector could be machined down to fit inside it?

Sure can, the only thing is, if the bore is 12mm and the connector fits inside this, the final bore will be about 8-10mm, is this not a bit restrictive?

i dont understand where this is going the idea of having custom 19mm fittings is because the pipe that you remove is 19mm so it makes it easier to use all 19mm when refitting instead of having to reduce the size half way through  :undecided:

I agree, you asked if I could skim the fittings so that a 12mm bore pipe will fit over it, therefor the fittings internal diameter will have to be smaller.

What about using larger diameter pipe for the internals?

That's exactly what I mean that's why if u use 15mm pipe like I pictured  it's not any less restrictive than the threaded hole in the catch can

why do pppl want a pipe running into the can from the fittings to me (im being a bit dumb at the mo trying to think ) wouldnt it just be summat extra that is going to get clogged up and full of crap inside the can making it harder to get out or more cleaning time when cleaning taking it apart or is it to stop any thing coming back up through to the turbo as personally i think its a worse idea thats just my opinion  :undecided: someone explain lol  :grin:

Sorry pal, I'm thinking about the wrong thing, lol

Think it is to aid condensation, bit like a baffle.

@rio-gti

Yes you're right it will be restrictive. I was just playing around with different options to see what would be best. A push into or onto fit wont work with my pipe. I think I will be going for the setup you've shown Rio.

Cully the pipe is there to try and replicate the baffles in more expensive catch cans e.g. Saikou Mitchi

Big Tone would you be able to make me 2 of the 19mm fittings with 1 inch long thread.

What is the cost and how would you like payment?

Thanks

Right, bad news :angry:

£90 for one length of stainless, so me making them is scuppered, I have however found a link where you can order custom made fittings, (you specify the dimensions/thread required on either side) out of brass for £5 a pop.
Will get the link up when I'm home.

I will however keep an eye out for smaller lengths and see what I can do.

Sorry chaps, but knowing my luck ill sell half a dozen sets and be left with a lump of stainless :laugh:
