Ive been pulled with pressed plates on my old mk3 I had to take the car to a MOT station and get a slip stamped and send it to the police to prove I had removed the old plates and replaced them with legal ones. Not to long ago I was on my way to Wales and the motorway police stopped me for my plates again saying they were the wrong font gave me a £60 fine on the spot the b@stard  like Wayne said there really not worth the trouble the police will get you sooner or later.

Only if they are the correct font, correct spacing, reflective, stamped with bs numbers and postcode of who made them.
