Mpg on v5's
« on: 18 March 2012, 22:05 »
To who ever has owned one can you tell me the average mpg you got. Thinking of getting one because they have a lot less miles on then the 1.8t due to the money I've got to spend. Any more Info on them appreciate it

if your looking for power and going to be modding then get a 1.8t as mapped you can see 190-210 bhp depending agu or aum.. if you just want a cruiser a v5 be good.. think there about same on mpg high 20's low 30's depends how you drive .. if you want fun get a 4 mo

He must be lucky, I have driven a few and they were worse on fuel than the 1.8t.

The V5 and the V6 arent that much different you will see between 22 and 24 around town and 28 to 34 on runs the v6 is about 18 to 22 in town and 28 to 30 on a run My mates 1.8t gets about the same miles to a tank as i do in my 4mo his is mapped as well

It's all to do with how you drive it, some have had 20 something to the gallon, others may see 30 something to the gallon.

Example, I can get 40 something to the gallon out of my mapped 1.8T where as others can't.

If you don't understand what it is exactly you're doing and what is happening with your throttle responce, revs and gear selection, then you'll never see the best MPGs.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.
