What oil level do you see on your dipstick?
Without traction power is nothing!

sump off check for blocked pick up pipe
but with non start after the light
may cost a good few quid to sort it out

Don't try and restart engine - get it recovered.

just got my car bk i have had to have a new engine and turbo total cost £5481.19. gutted

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm about to buy a Mk5!! (Or now perhaps not..)

I dont know what year your car is but thats expensive.


Why didnt you check your oil on a regular basis.


Did you keep driving when the light came on? Thats suicide if you did.
