why should i buy a 1.8t? how powerfull can it be????

hi guys i drive a e36 bmw 318is coupe, im about to sell it and buy a mk4 3dr 1.8t (150 bhp), now what so u guys think should buy this or something else, also how powerfull can i make the engine, cos ive been reading up on the vw vortex and performance vw forum and the guys on there are saying that  the 1.8t is only good for around 250 bhp ish, because it all depends on  the remapping, so what do you guys think?

sky's the limit.. 400bhp sound good ? all depends how much you want to spend

Ive just sold my 318is coupe for a 1.8t and wouldnt look back. they are a 100 times more mod'able and so much more enjoyable to drive. the 318 used to rev its nuts off at 75mph+, the golf just sits there quiet as anythin.

you can get around 350bhp without TOO much hassle

Get a TDi and then get it chipped, my mates TDi rolling roaded with 320lb/ft

Buy the dahlback golf if you got a spare load of wedge lying about, that'll beat M3's.  LOL
