British people are too british to protest in large numbers and forget that there are more of "us" than "them". 

But they have eyes everywhere with CCTV and as the riots proved they will hunt you down and treat you as tho you raped their mothers with the sentences they hand out. Still agree with you tho

Thing is, people think that they need to cause vandalism and crime in a protest. The original point of a protest is a peaceful march of large numbers of people behaving like adults should and stating clearly their point of views. In the part of Spain I'm from they do protests all the time and even though the police are present, no one gets arrested, beaten, or convicted. In the UK and in most places when there's a protest you always see molotov cocktails being thrown, some cuffed pikey, blood, etc. People seem to think that you need to break a royal's car window, set fire to a city, throw fire extinguishers from high buildings and loot every shop possible.

Protest & petitions are pointless, we need to look at the way our country is run as we have been getting f**ked by every goverment for as long as i can remember. We seem to suffer why they all live perfect lives in luxury..time for revolution i say

come election time you can put a cross across the whole ballot sheet, tear it in 2 and it's regestered as a no vote. If more people did this they would have to notice. However a government would still have been elected. I hate that there's no other option than the usual eaton educated wino toffs or racists to vote for, we need a revolutionary. I do agree that protest doesn't need to result in violence.

However, either through frustration or opportunism someone spoils it for everyone else. An already twitchy government utilise these happenings to further their own ends.
Civil Liberties are clamped down upon as result. The rights of the individual are circumvented whilst the profits of shareholders are paramount. I have voted in every election since I was of age and feel no progress is being made.

It's a feeling of helplessness, of seeing the problem but being unable to do anything about it. So frustrating knowing other people feel the same yet nothing else comes of it. Divided and conquered...

Can I argue that this life of drudgery I am being forced into by the government and big business is a form of torture and challenge them under the human rights act..?! It's life, but not living. Why should that only be the preserve of the rich?

Something really does need to happen.... Everyone i speak to is unhappy, but noone is willing to do anything. We need change!!!!! Scottish independance seemed stupid untill now!!

Hadn't really seriously considered it previously as Alex Salmond is a fat thingy too but, I am considering voting yes for Scottish Independence just in the hope that it'll wipe the smile off that smug prick Camerons face.
