right here's a challenge for you guys (a particularly boring one though) i'm hoping someone can help here with part numbers or a good site that lists them as my local TPS are useless!
basically, i have a golf gt which, as some may know, shares its front bumper with the gti (albeit it with different grilles) now, i have had to replace the front end recently after an accident and was offered a front bumper off a golf estate (same as jetta) for a bargain price which i thought was the same as the gt, however after having it painted i came to fit my existing grilles to the bumper, the main centre grille was fine, but the o/s and n/s grilles are completely different!
a bit of research on google images shows that there should be a smaller grille with a painted moulding and chrome strip fitted along the top of each grille. TPS has sent me the correct grilles and the 2 chrome strips (an eye watering £220 trade price!!)but say there is nothing else listed on their system and have sent a rep out on 2 occasions as they keep sending me the upper mouldings for the headlamp washer, but still can not identify the correct parts! What i really need is for someone who owns a golf estate or jetta to pop the mouldings off and note down the part numbers for me, as trying to find second hand parts at breakers yards is proving fruitless. any help would be greatly appreciated!
